History of the Orgainzation
The Clinton County Firefighters Association (CCFA) traces its' origin back to 1948 when Chazy Fire Department Fire Chief Levi Todriff invited other Clinton County, New York fire departments to cooperate in providing firefighting services, following the example of other fire departments in the Rochester, New York area and setting the stage for current mutual aid agreements. The CCFA later expanded to include nearby fire departments in Vermont and Quebec, Canada, and now has 26 member departments.
Today, the CCFA serves its member departments and their local communities by promoting fire prevention and fire safety and by providing resources to member fire departments and to the public for fire training and safety.

The Memorial stands at the Clinton County Office of Emergency Services and Training Center so that it's a reminder for all of the men and women who have served the community and answered their final call.
